Q: How long have you been here in Cardiff, how do you like it?

A: This is the second year I spent here. Everything here is fine, the city is quiet and peaceful, people here are friendly. But what’s more important is the studying and researching atmosphere here. Q: Okay. Now the Christmas is coming, what’s your plan?

A: Nothing special, maybe cook and have a dinner with my friends, of course most of them are Chinese. This has been the second Christmas I spent here.

Q: How about the Christmas Eve? What will you do? I mean after the dinner.

A: Spend the time on line, is there anything else?

Q: What was your feeling? Why don’t you go back home?

A: Lonely, definitely lonely. My wife and child are in China, I haven’t seen them for nearly two years. You know during the Christmas, you are just by yourself. The air ticket is too expensive, I can’t afford it. I think it’s nearly 600 pounds. But what’s more important is, I got a lot of research work to do, I don’t have time to go back home.
